HELPFUL HINTS TO SPEED UP UNDERWRITING
- Make sure your application is fully completed. Make sure every question is answered.
- Please pay special attention to the non-med section of the application. Make sure that all medical histories are listed with complete details, no matter how insignificant they may seem. Please close attention to the back question 9f and the mental nervous question 9j. Any omission regarding past histories could result in a permanent declination due to lack of disclosure.
- Please submit the proper verification of income with every application. We cannot begin the underwriting process without the correct proof of income!
- Prepare your client, let them know they will be getting two phone calls. One from the paramedical company, and one from the inspection company.
- Try to always submit a complete tax return with every application, if it is a joint return we will need a W-2.
- Check your case status on-line frequently to make sure we have received the information you have sent us.
- Never submit business with Guardian that has been declined by another insurance company without prior consultation with our office.
- Please feel free to follow-up on any APS that is outstanding. It is the most time consuming part of the underwriting process. Any help you can give us in securing those records will help to speed up policy turnaround.
